Common questions
What is Keep?
Keep blocks ads, trackers, and malware across every device on your network. You change one setting on your router, and every phone, laptop, TV, and smart device connected to your WiFi is protected. No apps to install, nothing to configure on each device.
How does it work?
Every device on your network uses DNS to find things on the internet. Keep sits in the middle. When a device tries to connect to an ad server, tracker, or known malicious site, Keep says "that doesn't exist" and the connection never happens. The ad never loads. The tracker never fires. Everything else works normally.
What do you do with my data?
We do NOT sell your browsing data. We do NOT build advertising profiles. We do NOT share your individual query history with anyone.

We look at patterns across all Keep users in aggregate to detect new threats. If thousands of homes suddenly start getting requests from a brand-new domain registered 2 hours ago, that's suspicious. We detect that and block it for everyone. Your individual queries are never part of what we analyze — we count "47 networks saw this domain" but never store which networks.

Your query logs are stored so YOU can see them on your dashboard. You can turn logging off entirely — filtering still works. Logs auto-delete after your retention period.
What's the difference between Keep and an ad blocker?
An ad blocker is a browser extension that only works in that one browser on that one device. It doesn't protect your smart TV, your kid's tablet, your security cameras, or any app outside the browser.

Keep works at the network level. It protects everything connected to your WiFi, including devices that can't run browser extensions. One setup covers your whole home.
Will this break anything?
Occasionally something depends on a connection that's also used for tracking. When that happens, Keep detects it and shows you a notification with a one-tap fix. You tap "Allow this" and it works immediately.
How do I set it up?
Sign up, and we'll walk you through it step by step. The short version: you copy an address from your dashboard and paste it into your router's settings. We have instructions for every major router brand. Takes about 5 minutes.
Is it free?
Yes. Keep is free for personal use — all blocking categories, device tracking, privacy scores, and community threat protection are included for every account.
